Lockdown Period Policy

 

DEAR CLIENTS

From Monday 13th July 2020 our Customer Service Support Desk will be moving to a contactless service during the COVID-19 lockdown period.

What does a ‘contactless service’ mean?

  • All boat launches will need to be booked by phone.
  • All travel lift bookings including payment will need to be booked and paid by phone, plus Travel Lift terms and conditions form to be read and signed and returned by email.
  • All payments can be paid either by credit card over the phone or direct bank deposit
  • All berthing agreements can be downloaded on this page and emailed to clientservices@westernportmarina.com.au
  •  Any insurance documents can be emailed through to our client services email address.
  • All boat owners and Contractors inductions can be carried out by email.
  • All approved contractors will be assigned their own fob key which they will need to call the office each day to have the applicable area activated upon arrival and inform us on when they depart.
  •  All casual bookings need to be booked and paid in advance by phone. If a fob key is required, a pickup time can be arranged upon booking.
  • All other enquires can be discussed over the phone. If for some reason a contactless service can not be arranged, an appointment time can be booked to come into the office (this option will be for essential reasons only).
  • The office door will remain locked.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in various places around the Marina.

During this lockdown period, only essential repairs can be carried out in the hardstand area by Contractors, owners or by Management approval. This is to reduce the number of people in the same area at once. All boat owners and contractors must have their temperature checked at the office before admittance to the yard.  The office door will be locked, please knock or call to let us know you’re there to have your temperature taken.

We would also like to remind any clients who decide to use their boats, that the 1.5mt social distancing rule is maintained and good hygiene is practiced. Hand sanitizer will be available, and we encourage you regularly wash your hands. This is so important to help stop the spread.

In summary, for six weeks, in Greater Melbourne and Mitchell Shire, there’ll be only four reasons to leave your home:

  • Shopping for food and essential items.
  • Care and caregiving.
  • Exercise.
  • Work and study – if you can’t do it from home

We apologize for this disruption to our normal business services, however we have found this is the best way to conduct business with minimal contact to avoid any possible outbreak to our staff and clients during this time.
